Update on our house

We wanted to catch everyone up on our house drama. It's official!! We have finished negotiating price and repairs with the sellers, and we got our loan approval today. So short of a major catastrophe, we'll be closing on July 20 and moving down on July 24. I am sooooo excited about finally having a house of our own that I can paint and decorate however I want to, where we can hang as many pictures as we want without worrying about getting docked because we left too many holes in the wall, and where we can start a family (God willing). Thank you so much for all of your prayers!

We will have plenty of extra rooms (and a pool!) for guests, and once we get moved in, we'd LOVE to have visitors!! To my Michigander friends, we are holding you guys to your promise of a Life Group field trip to Georgia!! I'm missing you already just thinking about moving!

Love to all,
Jim and Ally

Hebrews 4:16
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.

I have approached the throne ‘boldly’ daily. Every day I kneel beside Preston and claim the perfect healing that will continue. I am so thankful to God for all the miracles we have witnessed and am in anticipation for the miracles yet to come.

We need to remember to be specific and bold in our prayers. Then, have faith and believe our requests will be honored.

Specific items for prayer:
Continued healing for all Preston’s external wounds. Pray that God will continue to grow his primary injury together, so very little plastic surgery will be needed.
Continued return of cognition. Preston is truly a miracle, regards his memory, both short term and long term. Pray that his brain continues to heal.
Return of focus and tracking in his vision. We seem to see some glimpses of this, but this is an item of uplift for all of you Prayer Warriors. Claim It!!
Pray for our family. We enter week 7. We are handling this through the grace and miracles of God. We continually covet your prayers.
Pray for each other. I have never been a part of such a revival as I have witnessed in the last 6 weeks. I am so humbled and in awe of the mighty power of prayer and the love of fellow Christians. Continue to lift up one another, as we press on this trial.

Preston had another good day. Cinamon was with him this morning, and Mom came down this afternoon. I have been at the office for the last two days, trying to plug back in. He slept for much of the morning, but Mom said he was very talkative for periods in the afternoon. Preston loves the snake and shark that his buddy Miller brought. We are so blessed to see improvements each day. Praise God!

Thanks again for all the notes, emails, etc…but especially for the prayers. We would not be here if not for all the great Prayer Warriors around the world.

In His Arms and receiving His miracles,

Ashton

Upadate on Preston

So aparently the prayer request about Preston took a while to get to me. The accident happened back in April, and he has made it soooo far since then. Although he's still not out of the woods yet. Here's a post from April to catch you up on what happened shortly after the accident. I am also including the link to the caring bridge webpage that his family started to keep everyone updated. You will need to create an account, but you won't need a password after that. Thanks for your prayers! Let's keep them coming! And for anyone who says they don't believe in miracles, you can tell them that there's no doubt that they happen!

Living for HIS Glory until HE comes again,

Ally

WE HAVE THE FIRST MIRACLE!!!!!!!!Preston's quick surgery turned into a 5 hour full court press. The doctors stated multiple times they did not believe there to be enough esophagul tissue to reconnect. Well guess what God did. Preston has a continual line from his mouth to his rectum. Now, granted, he doesn't have much intestine or stomach, but he will be able to eat and nourish himself.They also cleaned his left elbow room, which is still not considered serious, just a pretty bad flesh wound.Now, we have to pray for infection to stay away and pneumonia to stay away. Those are the two big pieces right now.I know I may be too excited, but this is the first of many miracles we are expecting.Thanks for your prayers. Thanks for your prayers. thanks for your prayers.This is Preston's worldwide revival. We are going to claim his healing. I pray everyone who reads this understands this mighty work is the Hand of God.Bless all of you.In His Arms and Rejoicing His Praise.Ashton

PLEASE PRAY!!

I received this email from Jim's mom today. I don't know how she heard about this family, but I wanted to ask all of you to pray for this little boy and the grandfather who ran over him (who I am sure is suffering terribly!). If/when I receive updates, I will post them on here! Thank you for your prayers! May God hear them and respond!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please lift up Preston Lloyd in your prayers. The 2 1/2 year old son of Cinamon and Ashton. They have one other child, daughter Taylor who is 7. They are a great Christian family. Preston was backed over by accident Wednesday by a riding lawn mower his grandfather was riding, who lifted the mower off of him.. He was air lifted to Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte. They live in Mooresville, NC. Preston went through 3 hours of surgery Wed. night to stop the bleeding, it is still hour by hour. He has lost his left kidney, spleen, most of his intestines, esophagus was torn from his stomach, fracture (not know how many yet) and ribs broken. He opened his eyes Wed. night (to his mother's singing) and his head appears to be OK but still lots to be determined. The doctors say that if this would have been an adult or a larger child that he would not have made it this far. Little children's bodies can make it through major things. Friday morning update - Preston will be going into surgery this morning after 9am for them to see if the esophagus is long enough for them to reattach it to his stomach. Please pray for him that the surgery goes well and that they will be able to fix this. He needs our prayers so much! He is beginning to swell, which the doctor said would happen. God hears our prayers and will answer them. Please pray for little Preston that he pulls through this. Please pass this on to any more Prayer Warriors that you know.
